The cast is yet to be announced, but the music has been originally produced by international superstars, The Gypsy Kings. The group have had success around the world with their original blend of Rumba Flamenca and pop music which is going to be perfect for the musical when it hits the stage this year.

Chris Renshaw is on hand as the show's director. His previous works include We Will Rock You which broke box office records for sales. Choreographing the show, and adding that little extra Spanish flavour is Rafael Amargo. El Mundo, the Spanish national newspaper once described himn as a "National Treasure".

Zorro - The Story

Zorro (Spanish for fox) was first created back in 1919 by pulp writer Johnston McCulley. The hero appeared in a five-instalment series in pulp magazine, All-Story Weekly, which led to the character's first appearance on the silver screen. In 1920, The Mark of Zorro was released and enjoyed massive success in the U.S. The film subsequently led to McCulley penning a further 60 instalments of the Spanish fox's adventures.

Zorro has seen many transformations over the years. The character's visual motif has typically been black costume, flowing cape, Andalusian hat and, of course, the mask. In his first outing as helper of the good, he wore a cloak, a full face mask and a sombrero.

The protagonist (fictional Don Diego de la Vega) has a secret sword wielding identity and defends the people of the land against injustice on a daily basis. The Spaniard's weapon of choice is the rapier and combined with his unrivalled dexterity and horse riding skills, he is virtually unstoppable. The hero leaves his mark, a trademark "Z" wherever he has been.
